One of my math problems required finding the surface area of a golf ball, but it was just an estimate. It’s asking me if 9 in.^2 is bigger or smaller than the actual surface area of the golf ball. Does anyone know the actual surface area of a golf ball?

The outside your estimate is sa pi that because of smooth.
The dimples out the outside your estimate is probably slightly under the formula for surface area of the true surface area of 084 inches thats.

Golf balls are spheres so you can apply the formula 4pie227radiusradius.
