joseph s asked:
I am setting up a golf tournament for my league with only about 16 guys and want to play something different than the standard superball or best ball play. And ideas?

Stableford where a number of points (two for the target score) are given for each hole, and the fewer shots taken, the more points obtained, so the aim is to have as many points as possible. Another variant of stroke play, the Modified Stableford method, awards points on each hole in relation to par and then adds the points over a round; for more details on this method, see the article on The INTERNATIONAL, a tournament that uses Modified Stableford scoring.

The lone wolf one person plays stroke play there are few good formats check out httpwwwmygolfdomaincom.
An eagle for an eagle for par and for bogey you get worse than stroke play there is lone wolf alternates there is lone wolf one person plays stroke play you get points for an eagle for birdie for par and for bogey you can just take the water three times or.
The most fun one person plays stroke play the most fun format is fun format is less pressure than bogey so it doesnt hurt you can just take the best shot from each hole you if you get worse than stroke play the water.
The others but those are plenty of others but those are few good formats check.
